Réhane Arabi was born in 1996 in Switzerland, where she encountered circus arts during her childhood.

By joining the school “LeZarti’cirque,” she discovered circus disciplines, dance, and clowning, and took part in numerous performances.

From 2012 to 2016, she completed training as a socio-educational assistant, combining theory and practice. This field strongly engaged her, and these experiences were deeply meaningful.

In 2016, she decided to fully commit to circus arts, specializing in rope. She was drawn to this apparatus for its simplicity, flexibility, its aerial quality constantly challenged by gravity, and its strong connection to the ground.

Réhane first joined a preparatory school in Lyon, where she gained stage experience and was encouraged to create and explore different “colors”: relationships to space, rhythm, state, and energy.

She then continued her journey in circus and joined the Centre national des arts du cirque in 2018.

This path also allowed her to engage in collective creation with the MiRR collective, as well as work with Pierre Rigal, and take part in repertoire revivals with Gilles Cailleau.

Réhane aims to explore and experiment with the stage in a creative and innovative way, notably by drawing on her background in social work, which she wishes to integrate into her circus practice. She plans to take part in “Cirqu’en Partage” in Lyon, with the goal of creating a show involving four people with disabilities and four performers from her cohort.
