CIRCODATA
CIRCODATA – a resource database on the circus arts
CIRCODATA is a resource database on the circus arts, aimed at all audiences – students, artists, educators, academics and circus enthusiasts – built around the documentary portal of the CNAC’s resource and research centre.
CIRCODATA is a documentary research platform that brings together:
- the complete catalogue of printed, visual and multimedia materials and archives held at the CNAC;
- a section dedicated to circus research;
- thematic selections;
- a section dedicated to outreach;
- a gallery of images depicting the circus past and present.
CIRCODATA offers exclusive online access to a large number of digitised documents: videos (excerpts and full-length versions for CNAC productions), visual archives (images, programmes, posters) and academic articles. The digitised documents are being made available online in stages; all documents listed in CIRCODATA can already be consulted at the CNAC’s resource centre.
CIRCODATA is an evolving platform; existing (BnF) and future partnerships will enable the documentation on the circus arts – and, more specifically, the digital documents made available – to be progressively expanded.
