Olivier Burlaud
Following his initial training at the École Nationale du Cirque Annie Fratellini, Olivier undertook numerous workshops and collaborations exploring various approaches to object manipulation and physical theatre. He has taken part in several productions by the Cirque du Grand Céleste in Paris.
With Cirque Albatros, he developed an original theatrical and choreographic language, straddling the boundaries between contemporary circus and modern forms of object manipulation. He performed for fifteen years in France and abroad, at street theatre festivals, in yurts or big tops, and also in theatres.
Holder of a D.E. and a Master II DEEA, he is now passionate about issues of training and dramaturgy; he participates in the activities of the Maison des Jonglages and on the editorial board of the journal Jonglages. He teaches juggling and object manipulation at various European circus schools (ECL, CNAC, ESAC, Fratellini, CRAC...). He also lends his expertise to other creative projects (Virevolt company, Majordome company, La Générale Posthume, etc.).
