Marica Marinoni

Marica Marinoni was born in Milan in late October 1995. From a young age, she discovered the trampoline, which she practised at a competitive level for seven years.

In 2014, she began studying circus arts at FLIC – the circus school in Turin – where she chose the Cyr wheel as her discipline. In 2016, she was accepted into the Centre national des arts du cirque (CNAC) in Châlons-en-Champagne, where she continued to practise this discipline. She graduated in 2020 with the 31st cohort’s tour, directed by Galapiat Cirque.

In 2021, Marica began a collaboration as a performer with Compagnie Scom on the production Trait(s), with whom she worked for three years. She also collaborated with the company Les filles du renard pâle on their production Révolte (released in 2023), as well as on La Roue Giratoire (March 2025), currently on tour.

In 2022, she was invited by Juan Ignacio Tula to join Cie 7bis, where she co-created her first solo piece as a writer, Lontano, currently touring in France and internationally. In 2025, she co-created In difference with Jef Everaert, a full-length piece for the theatre.

Alongside her work as a performer and writer, Marica teaches the Cyr wheel at schools such as the CNAC, the Académie Fratellini, Esacto’Lido and the ENACR.

In January 2024, she took part in the Festival mondial du cirque de demain and won the Grand Prix as well as the President of the Republic’s Prize.
