Education
Julien Scholl holds a Master’s degree in the sociology of sport from Paris Sud Orsay, where he focused on the ‘hybridisation of art and sport through new forms of circus arts’. He was a top-level (national) gymnast. He trained at the Annie Fratellini National Circus School (Paris), at the Lido (Toulouse) and then at the National Centre for Circus Arts (CNAC Châlons-en-Champagne, 16th intake).

Research interests
Engaged physical theatre, a particularly keen and attentive eye for relationships with others, and the development of individuality.

Outreach
Alongside creating circus pieces, Julien Scholl develops outreach projects linked to the landscape and cultural venues such as museums, memorials and heritage sites. He regularly works as an educator with various audiences, delivering workshops and training sessions (CNAC-Chalon-en-Champagne, Esacto Lido-Toulouse). He is currently the initiator, author and director of the Le Puits project. He is co-writing with Mira-Belle Gille on the ‘Soyons sauvages’ universe, the first project of which is due to be released in 2025.
