Juggling, Object manipulation, Diabolo

Taiwan

I grew up in Taiwan, and during my studies, in the little free time I had, I first played piano for several years, then practiced competitive swimming, and also learned diabolo self-taught. I competed in diabolo for several years, but when I stepped away from competitions, I found myself stuck between my desire to pursue diabolo professionally and the limited opportunities for it in Taiwan.

During a circus festival in Taiwan featuring several international artists, I discovered circus arts and possibilities I had never encountered before. I then did everything I could to join a circus school in Finland. Afterwards, I joined the Centre National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC) in Châlons-en-Champagne, which I completed in June 2023.

After moving to France, I resumed musical practice at the conservatory with my new instrument, the trumpet, and I also learned ukulele by myself. I like light instruments so I can play anywhere. I hope to one day perform live music on stage.

After several years at CNAC, Isaline Hugonnet, whom I met at a school in Finland, and I decided to form a duo. We want to create a juggling performance mixing diabolo and balls and perform under a small circus tent. We are currently building a Franco-Taiwanese collective and hope to introduce contemporary circus to Taiwan in the future.
