Born and raised in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, she discovered her love for the performing arts there. At age 15, she decided to study contemporary dance at an academy in Cape Town, and by age 21, she was directing one of the social programs at “Zip Zap,” an organization that works with HIV-positive children.
After years of project management, performance, and teaching, she found herself in France at the National Center for Circus Arts, where she aspired to earn a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in circus arts.
In 2012, she founded the collective “Los Tres” with her partner, Iesu Escalante, with the goal of building artistic and cultural bridges between France, Mexico, South America, and South Africa through dance and circus arts. They aim to facilitate collaborations and artistic projects outside of France.
In parallel with this collective, she is planning to create a 30- to 40-minute solo piece combining trapeze and acting. To this end, she is seeking potential creative residencies beginning in June 2014.
