Sandra Reichenberger was born in Austria to an Austrian father and a Swedish mother. When she was nine years old, her parents decided to move to Sweden, where she would spend the next ten years of her childhood.
For her 8th birthday, her grandmother offered her tickets to the Cirque du Soleil, and Sandra instantly fell in love with the trapeze artist she saw performing.
This moment of infatuation led her to begin circus training in a recreational school, then to join the amateur school Uppsala Ungdomscirkus, and later to attend a circus-focused high school in the small Swedish town of Gävle. There, she tried the swinging trapeze for the first time and described the sensation as floating on pink clouds: “It felt like I was flying on pink clouds.”
After graduating at 19, she obtained a one-year contract in Cyprus and Thailand as a clown/entertainment performer in hotel resorts.
In 2014, Sandra moved to Copenhagen to attend the preparatory school AFUK – Akademiet for Utæmmet Kreativitet. Through her work with coach Rasmus Aitoganov, she was accepted into the DNSP1 program at the École nationale des arts du cirque de Rosny-sous-Bois, and moved to Paris.
She later continued her studies at the Centre national des arts du cirque, where she pursued her specialization in the swinging trapeze.
Beyond “floating on a cloud,” Sandra enjoys doing “cool things” such as hiking, swimming, snowboarding, eating cakes, petting dogs, and discovering new places.
