Pauline Olivier de Sardan was born in 1998 in the south of France. At the age of five, she discovered the world of circus. She performed her first acrobatic movements in a youth circus school where she was able to explore many disciplines until the age of sixteen.

From 2015 to 2017, she trained at Piste d’Azur in a preparatory program. She initially specialized in aerial silks before quickly turning toward the Chinese pole.

In 2017, she joined the École nationale des arts du cirque de Rosny-sous-Bois (ENACR), and then in 2020 the Centre national des arts du cirque. During the lockdown period, she explored capillotraction using bungee elastics, due to not having access to her main apparatus.

In 2021, she combined her work on the Chinese pole with her research in capillotraction, opening up new approaches to movement and new possibilities for choreographic writing.

As part of the 34th CNAC class, she had the opportunity to work with directors such as Guy Alloucherie and Kaori Ito, as well as to meet and exchange with musicians from the Cirque Électrique.

During the 2021 “Échappées” showcase, she met Audrey Louwet (Cie Azeïn), who invited her to collaborate on a new performance project scheduled for 2023.

Pauline aims to awaken audiences on stage through testimonies and lived experiences.

Many aspects of circus interest her, across a wide range of universes. For her, being a circus artist is a profession built on bodily dialogue and human exchange.

Let’s share together.
