In 2010, at the age of 20, she began studying cultural anthropology at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. Quite suddenly and unexpectedly, she joined a contemporary circus company, Cie Uusi Maailma, and began her circus practice in aerial disciplines. This marked the beginning of an extraordinary experience that has now lasted seven years.

In 2012, she enrolled at Salpaus, a pre-professional circus school in Lahti, Finland, where she specialized in aerial rope. As the years passed, Noora—who had grown up far from cities and the performing arts—experienced what she describes as a “fundamental rebirth.”

She later moved to France in 2015, directly entering the second year of the National Centre for Circus Arts (CNAC) in Châlons-en-Champagne. She quickly became known in the circus world as “the tall and strong Finnish woman.” During her studies, she focused her research on rediscovering and redefining her limits, both mental and physical, while nurturing sensitivity and vulnerability.

Her work is based on her relationship with her body: bodily memory and attentiveness to physical sensations. This relationship has become increasingly refined, to the point where it forms an essential part of who she is and the foundation of her artistic practice.
