Mathéo has always been on the move. He never stops discovering, exploring and engaging with the world around him. For him, the Gers is a vast land of culture. His curiosity just keeps growing. He soon realises that being in just one place at a time is frustrating. Sitting in a chair for too long, listening to people on a loop, being assessed on his knowledge… All of this is too much for him, as if his space and his freedom were being taken away from him.
So he turned to sport. This activity allowed him to get to know himself and find his place. Through football at Forza Labejan Saint-Jean, he learnt about teamwork and relying on others, and for him it was a revelation. Teamwork would become an integral part of his life.
The people around him have always been a source of energy, a wellspring of happiness. He has known how to surround himself with the right people, because, once again, he understands the importance of being part of a group: alone, the finish line seems further away.
Then came the circus. But not just any circus: the Pop Circus. A school of learning, values and community. There, Mathéo feels complete. He can bring together everything that inspires him day to day: the spirit of community through practice, movement, pushing his limits – all on a trapeze. He soars, falls, gets hurt, climbs back up – and the cycle repeats. He can feel it: he’s in the right place.
So he set off for Rosny, a new land of great promise. There he met his collective, his new team. He brought with him his past, his experience and his curiosity, and together they created something greater, before moving on to the CNAC. There, once again, it was a land – but this time a vast expanse – and this time he was no longer alone: there were six of them.
