Born in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, Luis Miguel began gymnastics at the age of 8. For nine years, he was passionate about the sport and competed in several international competitions.
In 2004, he took a break to focus on his economics studies at the Universidad Católica de Ecuador.
With his aspirations always calling him toward new adventures, he left Ecuador in 2009 for Argentina, where he discovered contemporary circus. During the Polo Circo festival in Buenos Aires, Luis encountered the National School of Circus Arts in Rosny-sous-Bois (Enacr). It was also an opportunity for him to attend performances that would spark his desire to “dive” into the circus arts.
He then enrolled at ENACR. There he met Jonathan Charlet and discovered hand-to-hand with him. A bond formed within the duo, who very quickly displayed a strong affinity for this discipline.
After attending the 2011 performance *Appris par Corps* by the company *Un loup pour l’homme*, the duo found a shared direction for artistic research and creation. Luis and Jonathan continued their studies at the National Center for Circus Arts (CNAC) in Châlons-en-Champagne to develop their personal approach with the help of numerous professional instructors.
