Demian Bucci was born on January 11, 1997, in Lenzburg, Switzerland.

He spent his childhood in the small village of Bottmingen, where he benefited from a very free upbringing that allowed him to dream in indescribable ways and live adventures in nature with his group of friends. This became a major source of inspiration throughout his artistic journey. He attended the Rudolf Steiner School in Basel and trained until the age of fifteen in Wing Chun, a martial art derived from Kung Fu. Everything related to movement fascinated him, and he wanted to explore it further—especially acrobatics. The complex flying figures and spatial awareness of acrobats deeply impressed him.

Curious and encouraged by his friends, he joined an amateur circus school, the QCB (Quartier Circus Bruderholz), where he participated in summer performances for four seasons. There, he discovered the powerful sensation of performing on stage.

Demian never imagined having a “routine” or “serious” job, as such a perspective evoked a monotonous and boring life for him. With the encouragement of his parents, he auditioned for the Staatliche Artistenschule Berlin. Although he was not accepted, the experience convinced him that circus was the world in which he would thrive.

At sixteen, he successfully auditioned for the school Zôfy, where he trained in Chinese pole, trampoline, partner acrobatics, and began working with Hungarian cradle.

After three years of training, his desire to professionalize led him to France to apply for the DNSP program at the Centre national des arts du cirque. He traveled by hitchhiking to the auditions, hoping to find one or more partners to practice Korean cradle with. A Swedish duo also accepted into the entrance exam made this wish possible. Amazed, he moved in 2016 to Seine-Saint-Denis to join the first year of the DNSP at the École nationale des arts du cirque de Rosny-sous-Bois.

During his years at CNAC, he created the collective “12 Twists” with this same duo and another acrobat, aiming to launch his professional circus career.
