Villefranche-sur-Saône, 1990.

Chloé was born three months early, weighing just over a kilo. At the age of 6, she began artistic gymnastics and enrolled in the Conservatory of Music’s flexible-schedule program (CHAM).

Gymnastics quickly took precedence over music. At age 10, she was a regional champion, and at 13, she placed third at the French FSCF (French Sports and Cultural Federation) championships.

Born to a British mother and a French father, she decided to spend a year living in Arizona, which allowed her to improve her language skills and become bilingual.

At age 19, she felt the need to connect her knowledge and experiences. She then turned to the circus arts and discovered a new relationship with the body, movement, and space. She enrolled at the National School of Circus Arts in Rosny-sous-Bois (Enacr) and specialized in the tightrope, which introduced her to choreographer Christine Bastin.

She continued her training at the National Center for Circus Arts (CNAC) in Châlons-en-Champagne, focusing on sensation, weightlessness, and a strong connection to the ground. There she met Johanne Saunier, who helped her deepen this relationship with the ground and incorporate a sense of rhythm and the breakdown of movement into her work.
