Anaïs Boyer

Wire

France

Born in 2002 in France, Anaïs discovered circus at the age of three and quickly immersed herself in this ever-shifting world with passion. Year after year, her relationship with the tightwire deepened and became more intense.

From 2020 to 2022, she enriched her path by joining the preparatory circus school in Lyon, where she specialized in tightwire walking. Since 2022, she has continued her training at the Centre National des Arts du Cirque. There, she explores a language of her own; moving away from traditional tightwire codes to turn it into a space of unpredictability. The wire becomes failure, elsewhere, language, and landscape.

Inspired by clowning and figures with offbeat postures, she moves through an unstable emotional range, oscillating between the absurd and the sensitive. Her body seeks to break, to deform itself, bringing forth unexpected imbalances.

“Everything is worth going through with the seriousness of children who are truly playing.”

Her relationship with the audience is immersive, erasing the fourth wall to turn performance into a space of exchange. She performs in streets, tents, and unusual places where closeness becomes essential. In this exploration, she steps away from the sacred ritual of performance to prioritize dialogue with territories and their inhabitants.
