Marc Lozano
Marc Lozano is a PhD student at the CEAC at the University of Lille and is currently writing a thesis under the supervision of Ariane Martinez and Bertrand Tillier, provisionally entitled *La piste hantée: Clowns and the Invention of the Traditional Circus* (Paris, Berlin, Vienna, 1917–1970). A former student of the École Normale Supérieure (Ulm, Class of 2015), he subsequently worked as a trainer at the Cabuwazi Circus in Berlin whilst studying for a Master’s degree in dance studies at the Freie Universität, where he focused on the history of clowns in the GDR’s state circus.
