Jérôme Marin

Born in Orléans, Jérôme Marin spent several years at the Conservatoire National de Région d'Orléans. His work soon turned towards cabaret, particularly the world of Karl Valentin. His desire to sing gave rise in 2001 to the character of Monsieur K., who performs both solo and as part of a group, and for whom he writes most of the songs. He worked with several companies on various projects as an actor, including Entre les murs (based on François Bégaudeau), directed by François Wastiaux. Then, in 2011, he returned to the world of cabaret and worked on various forms combining dance and song with choreographers such as François Chaignaud, Daniel Larrieu and Marianne Baillot. In 2015, he took part in the reopening of the Parisian cabaret Madame Arthur, and became the artistic director of its troupe. In 2018, he regained his freedom to devise or participate in new projects, always centred on cabaret and French chanson, including a monthly Parisian event: the cabaret LE SECRET. In 2021, he co-founded Music All with Jonathan Capdevielle and Marco Berrettini. In September 2024, he launched a new project: LA BARBICHETTE Cabaret. He became an associate artist at the Manège-Scène nationale de Reims and, in 2026, also joined the Centre Chorégraphique National de Caen as an associate artist.
