Christelle Dubois

Having practised balancing acts for some twenty years – initially on my own, then under the watchful guidance of various masters – I subsequently developed my own unique style, blending balancing acts, contortions, distortions, the front and back of the stage, the connections between these two spaces, lines and shapes, and the images that sometimes emerge unintentionally from all this physical interplay.

I have worked with several companies in various fields (visual arts, costume design, opera, circus, hip hop, commedia dell’arte, street theatre).

I am currently touring with Le Complexe de l’Autruche (a collective of eight acrobats) and the Cie du Courcirkoui, and have been a Chinese energy massage therapist for several years.

I live in Entre-deux-Mers (33) in a lightweight dwelling, and am involved in cooperative projects.

I write short, philosophically convoluted and poetic phrases.

You could say I’ve dwelt on the matter a little too much and have fallen into a state of artistic ambiguity.
