Platform balancing

Switzerland

I was born in Switzerland on January 29, 2001. Coming from a family of artists, I grew up surrounded by diverse creative worlds, which I draw inspiration from. I spent my childhood marveling at simple things, feeding on multiple forms of art and playing with them.

At the age of 9, I joined a circus school. In 2015, I entered the sports-focused high school Auguste Piccard in Lausanne, training every afternoon at the Lausanne-Renens Circus School. I obtained my baccalaureate and continued my path with a one-year pre-professional training at the same circus school.

The following year, I left Switzerland for France and joined CNAC in 2020, specializing in dance trapeze.

During my first year at CNAC, trapeze no longer suited me. I therefore began to experiment with ways of détourning it, creating other ways of standing above the ground. In this process, I ended up creating a new apparatus: my platform, a 60 cm square wooden board suspended by two ropes, forming a second ground. A restricted ground, an unstable ground, a moving ground, a bouncing ground… “my ground”.

Through my experiments, I play with stability and instability. My relationship to the world, to the ground, to this Earth we stand on, is essential to me.

I perceive my surroundings in a sensitive way, constantly questioning how we stand on this Earth and how we can live without destroying it.
