Joad was born during the winter of 1995 in Amiens, a city in northern France.

He has always been passionate about sports and music. He grew up practicing archery, judo, swimming, theatre, scuba diving, beatboxing, and parkour. It was through parkour that he discovered the world of circus, thanks to a friend who suggested he learn acrobatics at the Cirque Jules Verne school in Amiens.

At the age of 14, he enrolled in a recreational program and began learning floor acrobatics with Adrian Munteanu. He later discovered the Chinese pole discipline, to which he became particularly attached. Quickly realizing how deeply the circus world could engage him, he began in 2012 a preparatory circus training program, still in Amiens, at the École du Cirque Jules Verne under the direction of Nordine Allal.

He spent two years there practicing Chinese pole with Giom Amaro and decided to prepare for entrance exams to major circus schools.

In 2015, following auditions for the Centre national des arts du cirque, Joad entered the first year of the DNSP program at the École nationale des arts du cirque de Rosny-sous-Bois.

He continued his training at the CNAC. It was during these three years that, blending contemporary dance and music, he deepened his exploration of rhythm and musicality on the Chinese pole, developing a practice that connects his movement on the apparatus with his sound universe.
