Florian was born on September 5, 1990, in Annecy. He spent his childhood in a small village in Haute-Savoie, surrounded by mountains.
Freestyle skiing and paragliding quickly became his main pursuits.
At the same time, he discovered the circus at age 11, leading to several years of recreational classes and involvement with juggling and trampoline clubs.
At 19, he left the Alps and enrolled in the Montpellier School of Architecture. The long years of drawing and model-making he had anticipated were quickly interrupted by his meeting with young circus artists with ambitions in aerial acrobatics: Simon Cheype, Hugo Moriceau, Antoine Cousty, and Jacob Auzanneau.
Their plan to perform on the trapeze convinced him to join them at the Balthazar Circus School in Montpellier. Together, they went on to train at the National School of Circus Arts (ENACR) in Rosny-sous-Bois, where they met Lluna Pi, completing the collective.
It was at the National Center for Circus Arts in Châlons-en-Champagne that they continued their training and founded the company “La Contrebande.”
