Around the age of 23, Erwan decided to leave his job in order to pursue a career in the performing arts.
He notably took part this year in the 41st Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain, during which he performed live on Arte.
Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work with various artists, choreographers, directors, and “circographers” such as Nikolaus, the Frères Ben Aïm, Christophe Huysman, and Pierre Rigal.
In September 2020, with the 32nd graduating class of the Centre national des arts du cirque, he began a creation alongside Raphaëlle Boitel and her company Compagnie L’Oublié(e).
Between straps, pointe work from classical ballet, and hand balancing, he seeks to blend these different disciplines within engaged forms of writing and dramaturgy.
In his creations, he does not see circus as an end in itself, but rather as a writing tool serving artistic works in which circus, dance, theatre, photography, and other media can subtly—or not so subtly—interweave.
