At the age of fourteen, Alastair began breakdancing with his brother. His personal style led him to blend the fluidity of this dance form with acrobatic and “explosive” moves. This approach sparked a desire to explore other avenues, namely Free Running and Parkour. For him, this was a way to find greater freedom in taking and managing risks.

In 2008, along with his two brothers and four English partners, he participated in auditions to join French circus schools. Thus, the following year, he began his studies at the National School of Circus Arts in Rosny-sous-Bois (ENACR). There, he studied propulsion disciplines with four other students as part of an initial collective. He then moved on to a second collective where he met Jules Trupin, with whom he joined the National Center for Circus Arts in Châlons-en-Champagne. Alastair and Jules decided to continue their research together on the Korean swing in order to develop a unique approach to movement and acrobatics using this apparatus.
