A look back at 10 days of mediation in Verdun
For 10 days, the CNAC set up its big top in Verdun as part of a unique partnership with the Greater Verdun Urban Community and Transversales Verdun – a theatre company with a national mandate, specialising in circus arts and creation.
To complement the two performances of the final-year show and the highlights of the Grand Festival, the artistic and outreach teams organised numerous circus workshops, inviting young and old alike to discover the disciplines of the circus arts and to experiment with movement.
These workshops, along with tours of the big top and its backstage areas, enabled the residents of Verdun to meet the young artists of the 37th intake, who had recently graduated, in a participatory setting, transforming contemporary circus into a space for discovery, exchange and the passing on of skills.
