Montana Miller - Research residency
The CNAC is hosting Montana Miller for a research residency; she was the first American student to join the CNAC (3rd intake) and the winner of the ‘Support for Circus Research 2026’ call for proposals.
Now a lecturer and researcher at Bowling Green State University (Ohio, USA), Montana has decided to write a sequel to her book *Circus Dreams* (1990), which recounted her year of training at the CNAC. To write “Circus Dreams: Evolutions and Reflections, Forty Years On”, she will need to track down the artists from her cohort, retrace their careers and examine the evolution of contemporary circus, forty years after the CNAC’s inception.
Following this initial residency period, she will return to continue her research at the resource centre from 2 to 17 July.
