Research residency : Exploring improvisation and tinkering in contemporary circus
Hosted in residence at the CNAC resource center, Carolina Moreno-Haverlant, PhD student at University of Toulouse, continued her research on her project "Aesthetics and politics of tinkering in contemporary circus performance", selected through CNAC's 2025 circus research support call.
This residency explores the boundaries between art and craftsmanship, opening new perspectives on circus aesthetics. Interviews with a student, the director of the technical and infrastructure division, the workshop manager, and the CNAC stage manager contributed to this research, alongside the analysis of recorded performances.
