Thank you to Culture & Recherche and its editorial teams for shining a spotlight on circus research!
In its 150th issue, dedicated to The Making of Research (La fabrique de la recherche), the magazine published by the French Ministry of Culture devotes three pages to the research dynamics currently shaping the circus arts, highlighting several initiatives led by the CNAC Resource and Research Center.
Through this feature, an entire ecosystem comes into view: the research residencies that support artists and researchers, the annual Circus Research Study Day, and Circodata, the platform dedicated to resources and knowledge on the circus arts.
More broadly, this issue showcases the diversity of forms that research in the cultural sector can take: research residencies, study days, documentary platforms, and spaces for dialogue that help generate new perspectives on artistic practices.
