Alumni – careers that shine within the contemporary circus community
hrough awards, new works and international selections, several CNAC alumni continue to bring their artistic visions to life and develop them on stage and through creative support schemes.
🏆 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗗 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
örg Müller (6th intake of the CNAC) has been awarded the 2026 SACD Circus Prize.
Among the objects he manipulates are sound tubes and a cylindrical water tank which he calls a “three-metre-high glass of water”, inside which he performs whilst holding his breath.

🎪 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗗 – 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲́𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
Four projects were selected by the jury from among the 61 entries received this year.
Among the winners are three former students:
- "La nuit des temps" by Alexandre Fray (14th intake) (Un Loup pour l’Homme)
- "Un mètre carré" by Nina Sugnaux and Cassandre Schopper (35th intake) (DUO D’1M²)

🌍 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳
The finalists for circusnext 2027 have just been announced: 10 projects led by 11 contemporary circus creators, including several artists from the CNAC.
Among them:
- Collectif Tombé du Nid, Federica Peirone – Tu Be or Not To Be (balance, antipodism, live music – duo)
- Alice Langlois – ORLANDO (fixed trapeze – solo)
