"PULSIONS" 2012/2013

2012 graduation show

Director
Laurent Laffargue of the Soleil Bleu Company

Creation at the Cnac
december 2012

at the Châlons-en-Champagne circus

Sloth, pride, gluttony, lust, greed, wrath and envy… such are the temptations that lie in wait deep within each person, in their most secret passions. Though crucified by moral doctrine, these vices are nevertheless delicacies of the consumer society, which continues to gently stimulate them in order to develop a commerce of desires, and gladden tortured souls.
Guided by the director Laurent Laffargue, the 17 students of the 24th CNAC class explore the seven deadly sins, the imaginary universe of which crosses the spectrum of the arts, resonating powerfully in our troubled times. Playing with the flux of images that bombards the collective conscious on a daily basis, the acrobats turn normality upside down, giving substance to the ambiguous use of values. Through ten different specialist circus acts, they reveal our paradoxes and spread turmoil, making us shiver.
