2020 Selections DNSP - Cnac Chalons Curriculum
Entrance examination from the 4th to the 8th of May 2020 at the CNAC in Châlons-en-Champagne
The CNAC's Ecole Nationale Supérieure (Higher National School) in Châlons-en-Champagne has developed a three-year educational programme in collaboration with the Unit of Training and Research for Arts of the Jules Verne University in Amiens.
This course allows the awarding of the Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel d’Artiste de Cirque (Higher National Circus Artist Diploma) (level II diploma) and the possibility of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts - "Circus Art" Option. The latter is awarded by Jules Verne Picardie University. This system is part of the European framework (Bologna Agreements) for higher education.
After some considerable work related to the new accreditation procedure for our training offer, the three-year DNSP course will be entirely organised at the CNAC in Châlons-en-Champagne from the start of the 2020 academic year.
The new class recruited in the spring of 2020 will therefore be the first to complete their entire course at the CNAC, and to be taught by the same teaching team.
As of 2023, the CNAC students' career path will therefore be accredited by:
- the Culture diploma: National Higher Professional Diploma for Circus Artists (DNSP-AC)
- and, for the first time ever, a joint degree in Performing Arts and STAPS (Science and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities) awarded by the University of Reims-Champagne-Ardenne (URCA).
