Marion Guyez Biography - Resume

Marion Guyez is a tightrope walker, lecturer in performing arts at Grenoble Alpes University since 2018, co-director of the Compagnie d'Elles and co-founder of Les Tenaces. She is a member of the UMR Litt&Arts and contributes to the ECLAIR programme of the SFR Création de l'Université Grenoble Alpes. She taught at the Art&Com department of the University Toulouse Jean Jaurès from 2013 to 2018.

She is the author of a thesis submitted in 2017 devoted to the hybridisation of acrobatics and text on contemporary circus scenes, which is part of a research-creation approach and is based particularly on her experience as a tightrope walker and playwright. She is a member of the Collective of Circus Researchers and was scientific secretary of the Innovation in Circus and Puppetry Chair for the Centre national des arts du cirque in Châlons-en-Champagne (2017-2018). She is the author of several publications on circus dramaturgies and creation processes, gender, and street arts.

In addition to her creative activity within the company d'Elles (Be Felice. Hippodrame urbain, Tôle Story, Liesse(s), Mémoires d'une maison vide), Marion Guyez has collaborated as a researcher and playwright with Marta Torrents on the creation of Brut (2018), with Pascaline Herveet and the circus of Dr Paradi for Les Petits Bonnets (2019), with the company Cirqu'en choc for Gnoko Bok (2020), and she contributes to the acrodance lab of Femmes de Crobatie.

She continues her research in the circus field with Poétique des (des)équilibres, a work devoted to documenting and experimenting with her favourite discipline and the fantasies of inverted bodies.
