Valérie Dubourg Biography - Resume
Valérie is an acrobat specialised in rope, aerial silks and swinging trapeze.
After training for four years at the National Centre of Circus Arts in Châlons-en-Champagne (graduating in 1993), she won the Louis Merlin Scholarship in 1995, which was also the year she joined Cirque Plume (role in Toiles, 1995 and creation of L’harmonie est-elle municipal ?, 1996-1998; Opera Plume 1999-2000). Since then, collective modern circus creations (Company Dans De Beaux Draps), circus workshops, Traces (Company Ezec Le Floc'h) or solo works (Petites Perfections) have followed along with encounters with other forms of artistic expression (Theater, dance, visual arts).
She also participated in 2001 and 2005 in the concert tour of the band Tryo.
Since the year 2000, she has taught her own discipline: aerial acrobatics (rope, swinging trapeze, silks, and others) combining technique, art and improvisation in schools (Cnac, ESAC Brussels, Académie Fratellini, amateur circus schools and preparatory courses) or during intensive courses in France and abroad (Studio des hivernales in Avignon, Shemsi Circus School in Rabat / Salé, Morocco, ZIPZAP Circus School in Cape Town, South Africa).
She is currently working on the show: kekidilepetitlapin directed by Petr Forman and on writing and directing her project Péripéties (Petites perfections).
